Our room was ideal and tidy with a lovely deep bath, fantastic bathrooms, for example, just what we needed. The location was stunning, relatively near National Trust Hill Top Museum. It offered helpful service and well presented food too.

Staff were very friendly and helpful. Meals were extremely good and rooms have recently been refurbished and are of a high standard. Very clean and pleasant sorroundings. The dining facilities are a bit quirky but so nice to break away from corporate surroundings.

We loved the location and the comfort of the Hotel. We would go out all day and look forward to returning to our warm and welcoming Hotel. The food in the Hotel was lovely and we probably had a meal there most nights, but thought we should at least try a pub in Hawkhead once for a meal. Breakfast was really nice too. Just my husband and I went and we left our dog at home but wished we had taken her as the Hotel welcomed dogs and we loved this. The weather was not great but you have to expect this. All in all we had a really nice break and look forward to returning next year.

The warm atmosphere and dog-friendly environment made our stay incredibly enjoyable. A highlight was the delicious homemade brownies offered by the staff after a long day of hiking.
